Mandello del Lario is situated between locality Olcio and Abbadia Lariana, in a favorable position at the foot of the northern Grigna. It was ruled by the Visconti and the Sforza and suffered the domination of the French and the Austrians. It is very famous because it is the city of Moto Guzzi and its museum. Interesting the Tower Maggiana, the Gardata and Santa Maria, daily destination of local runners.
