Brissago is situated on the road that from locality Piaggio Valmara, on the border Italy-Switzerland, arrives to Porto Ronco, at the feet of the Limidario Mountain or Gridone (2.187 m). It is the lowest place in Switzerland, posts to 196 meters s.l.m., it enjoys of a pleasant climate that allows the birth and the development of subtropical plants besides those of the Insubrica region. Historically animated, in 1847 it was built "Factory Tobaccos" that until now it allows the production of the cigars "Brissago". To visit the church of San Pietro and San Paolo, the Madonna del Ponte's church of the 1500, House Baccalà of the XVIII century and the Festival Leoncavallo, of international interest, in memory of the homonym musician.
