Gravedona ed Uniti is situated in a natural inlet to the result of the Valley of the Liro, in front of Piona's peninsula and of the Legnone Mountain, between Dongo e Domaso. Historically it had active role in the decennial war between Como and Milan, among 1118 and 1127, and in the peace of Constancy, in 1183: it was a center based on the agriculture and on the fishing; currently it is one of the most important tourist-industrial center of the lake of Como with its spectacular lake-front characterized by houses and ancient porticos. Interesting the St. Vincent's church, the Romanesque church of Saint Maria of the Tiglio, the Saint Maria of the Graces' church and the church of the SSs. Gusmeo and Matteo.
