VILLA RACHELE - at the end of Sala Comacina, on a peninsula facing the island Comacina, in one of the most fascinating places of the lake, there is Villa Beccaria, today known as "Villa Rachele": originally the place was called, in dialect, "the Puncia" because juts into the lake, and when family Beccaria built their home was called "Villa Beccaria"; later it passed to Rachele, daughter of Cesare Cantù and of Antonia Beccaria Bonesana, and it was called "Villa Rachele". The villa has a three-storey facade with three openings: the ground floor opens a large semicircular terrace overlooking the water, on one hand there is the pier of public service boats, just beyond there are the caretaker's house, next to the stream Premonte, and boathouse.
