Ponte Tresa is situated between Caslano and Lavena Ponte Tresa, it's on the Italian-Swiss border in the Malcantone Region, on the southern slope of the Rocchetta hill: with 0.41 km² of surface area it's the smallest municipality in the Canton Ticino. Its station is the terminus of the important Lugano - Ponte Tresa railway. You can visit the 15th century San Bernardino da Siena's Church.
