Navigation signals

sailing on lake of Mergozzo you can find different signals of navigation, in particular:

CARDINAL SIGNALS

they are used for the signaling of submerged reef, rocks and shallow water, they are found in orientation in comparison to the danger, that is to the center of the signal. Sure waters are in the quadrant of same name of the signal; it is possible to recognize them for two black cones above the poles.

cardinal north : pass to north, the danger is to south

cardinal east : pass to east, the danger is to west

cardinal south : pass to south, the danger is to north

cardinal west : pass to west, the danger is to east

SIGNALS OF ISOLATED DANGER

they are used for the signaling of generic danger, positioned above this last one; they are characterized by a pole with black and red bands and by two black spheres above it.

SIGNALS OF SURE WATERS

they are used for the signaling of sure waters, where around them the danger doesn't exist; they are characterized by the vertical strips coloration white and red and by one red sphere above the pole.

SPECIAL SIGNALS

they are used for the signaling of protected areas, cables, pipelines, areas of exercises, areas of regatta and other; they are characterized by various forms, from the yellow coloration and from one yellow symbol to x's form above them.

 RIVER SIGNALS

they are used for the signaling of sure journeys on the rivers, position the bow of the boat toward the signals.
