VERBANIA locality PALLANZA - island SAN GIOVANNI : the Region Piedmont, with the "Order n. 2/2008" of 30/10/2008 (in .pdf, 16 kb, Italian version), it has held necessary and urgent to intervene to guardianship of the safety of the navigation and the public safety, forbidding the transit to all motor unities, inside the inclusive aqueous mirror among the island San Giovanni and the coast of Verbania locality Pallanza, except for the unities that have place of berth or parking inside the same channel and for the unities listed in the article 1 paragraph 5, letters a) and d) of the Regional regulations "Provisions and regulations for navigation on the Piedmontese waters of lake Maggiore" of 14/04/2000 (in .pdf, 44 kb). locality MAGADINO : near the Bolle di Magadino, from Magadino port's entry to the mouth of the Verzasca river, it's forbidden the navigation with motor boats and sailing boats until a distance of 150 meters from the coast; sailing with rowing boats is prohibited until a distance of 50 meters from the coast: in any case it's forbidden the mooring and the landing

Dangers for navigation

ISLAND BELLA - ISLET LA MALGHERA : be careful to the shallow water between the two islands for the presence of rocks, the area isn't navigable and you can recognize it for the presence of cardinal signals

ISLAND PESCATORI: be careful to cardinal signals around the island, they are used for the signaling of submerged reef, rocks and shallow water, they are found in orientation in comparison to the danger, that is to the center of the signal. Sure waters are in the quadrant of same name of the signal; you can recognize them for two black cones above the poles.

CANNERO ISLETS: between islet rocca "Vitaliana" and islet "prigioni" it is approximately 2 meters deep on average, during the passage between them be careful to the tip on the west side of islet rocca Vitaliana, especially when the water level is low due to the presence of rocks and reefs

BRISSAGO ISLANDS : during the passage between the island Grande or San Pancrazio and the Isolino or Sant'Apollinare, be careful especially when the water level is low due to the presence of rocks and reefs: it's forbidden the anchorage

ISPRA : in the proximities of the pier of the public and private service boat, be careful in phase of approach, expecially in case of shallow water, there are two wood poles that advise about submerged rocks.
