Caldè, administrately municipality of Castelveccana, is situated between Laveno Mombello and Porto Valtravaglia and it is characterized by a nice lake-front and an attractive small public port. It rises on the coast and it is overhung by the famous "Fortress" whose layers of calcareous nature perpendicularly end in the lake, on the peak there is a lighthouse devoted to the Fallen of the war.
