Cernobbio, positioned between Como and Moltrasio, it is a famous tourist-residential center, at the feet of the Bisbino mountain (1325 mt.): its name derives from "Coenobium", an old convent site in the today's zone of Villa Este. Anciently it developed one of the first establishments for the workmanship of the silk, currently it is an important place of vacation where there are famous hotels and restaurants, besides famous villas: for example Villa Este, of the XVI century, today one of the most exclusive hotels with an immense park, statues, fountains and caves; Villa End, of the XVI century, with a great park. Interesting the church of St. Michele of Rovenna.
